These are wonderful stories that are great reads and thought provoking. They have values that can be used in everyday life. Each story is unique and has heartfelt charm as consideration is given to each situation. There is a lesson I personal learned. The value of licorice. I used to eat it as a child. I looked up the value of licorice. I have now added it back to my life too. Sophie and Harold work well together to bring harmony and help in each case in these stories.
I enjoyed reading all these great books..

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļøHeartwarming stories that deeply changed how I connect with pets.āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø
This book completely shifted my perspective by showing how understanding a dog's behavior is really about understanding ourselves. The touching story of the retired rescue support dog adapting to loss was particularly moving and left a lasting impression on my heart. Reading these unique stories taught me how to become a more patient, empathetic, and better companion to the animals in my life.

Harold and Sophie return with horses, parrots, shadows, rumors, and gentle mysteries where every animal problem carries a human story.
MORE CURIOUS CASES
Part of The Pet Therapist Series
In The Pet Therapist - More Curious Cases, animals rarely arrive alone.
They bring tensions, secrets, loneliness, expectations ā and sometimes small mysteries no one quite knows how to explain.
Together, Harold and Sophie run a small pet consultation practice where every case slowly becomes about far more than the animal itself. A horse refuses to obey the familyās chosen rider. A parrot carries the voices of a forgotten life.
Rumors spread through a quiet co-housing community after strange shadows appear at night. And somewhere beneath the everyday conversations, something deeper always seems to move quietly between people.
Warm, reflective, humorous, and gently mysterious, these stories combine cozy atmosphere with psychological insight and subtle philosophical undertones.
Perfect for readers who enjoy character-driven fiction, quiet mysteries, and stories where animals reveal something unexpected about human nature.

A weary former therapist and an ambitious animal consultant launch a pet psychology practice ā only to discover that misbehaving pets often reveal the emotional lives of the humans around them.
THOUGHTFUL AND HEARTWARMING STORIES FOR PET LOVERS
Part of The Pet TherapistĀ Series
What happens when a stressed former therapist and an entrepreneurial gym-addicted āanimal consultantā try to fix the emotional lives of familiesāone misbehaving pet at a time?
The Pet Therapist is a warm, humorous, and quietly insightful novel about what pets reveal about us, and how healing rarely follows a straight line.
Harold is in his fifties, worn down after years of working with psychedelic therapy and human crises. He longs for meaningful work and a calmer life. Sophie, the energetic owner of a newly invented āpet psychology practice,ā has very different priorities: branding, income, AI tools, and whatever the latest fitness trend might be. She knows little about animalsābut a lot about confidence. Together they form an unlikely duo offering psychological consultations for families struggling with their beloved pets.
From the very first assignment, the contrast between them becomes obvious. Harold approaches every dog, cat, bird, and hamster with empathy, presence, and curiosity about the family system around the pet. Sophie approaches it with her phone, her chatbot, and a determination to turn the business into a small empire.
Across a series of richly drawn, heartfelt, and often hilarious episodes, the two consultants meet families whose pets āmisbehaveā in ways that mirror the emotional patterns of the humans around them:
⢠A Boxer dog who mirrors a child with ADHD.
⢠A rabbit chosen by algorithm rather than intuition.
⢠A poodle owned by a lonely elderly woman facing illness and the fear of abandonment.
⢠Owners who love deeply but struggle with boundaries, uncertainty, grief, or change.
While Sophieās AI-generated advice often goes wildly off trackāwith results ranging from comical to accidentally profoundāHarold listens for the small truths hiding under the surface. Gradually, the cases become less about the animals and more about what it means to be a family, to confront fear, to change old patterns, and to rediscover tenderness.
The novel blends touching human insight with gentle satire of our modern obsession with technology, self-optimization, and quick fixes. Yet beneath the humor lies a story about connection: the way animals bind us together, the way small conversations can shift a life, and the way unlikely partnerships sometimes heal us the most.
The Pet Therapist is both uplifting and quietly thought-provokingāa perfect read for pet lovers, fans of warm character-driven fiction, and anyone who believes that our animals often understand us better than we understand ourselves.

A reflective collection of dog-centered stories exploring behavior, misunderstanding, frustration, and the quiet breakthroughs between people and their pets.
IN THE COMPANY OF DOGS
Part of The Pet TherapistĀ Series
In The Pet Therapist ā In the Company of Dogs, people donāt just bring their dogs to be āfixed.ā
They bring their lives.
Sophie runs a small and slightly unconventional pet therapy practice.
Harold, her thoughtful and observant partner, is less interested in quick solutionsāand more interested in what lies beneath.
Together, they meet families, couples, and individuals struggling with dogs that wonāt listen, wonāt settle, or simply wonāt fit into the life they were meant to have.
But things are rarely as straightforward as they seem.
With a mix of quiet insight and understated humor, these stories explore:
dog behavior problems and the people behind them
the misunderstandings between dogs and their owners
how frustration slowly turns into recognition
and how the humanāanimal bond often reveals more than we expect
As Sophie looks for structure, answers, and perhaps a scalable business model, Harold tends to slow things downāasking the questions no one thought to ask.
And somewhere in between, small shifts begin to happen.
Blending dog psychology, and character-driven storytelling, this collection offers something different: stories about dogs, people, and the quiet moments where understanding changes everything.
If you enjoy books like Marley & Me, but are looking for something more reflectiveāand a little more humanāthis book invites you into a world where even the smallest case can reveal something larger.
