When I picked up this, I wasn't expecting that I'd get so engrossed in the story! It's not just another story about angels and demons, it's so much more. There's an elaborate and complex world building, and a mystery so intricate that I couldn't help but get sucked in it. There are amazing plot twists and unexpected turns that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I can't wait to read the next books in the series!!!

This prequel drew me in with the creativity and lush descriptiveness. The writing elicits strong reactions as the dramatic tribulations of the Archangels unfold in this story.
The rich world building continues seamlessly into the following books. The plot and characters are well developed. Alexandra has lived a young life cultivated in secrets. Revelations bring about many surprises, twists and turns in ways Alexandra never foresaw. This story entertains while keeping me engaged, even though at times I found Alexandra exasperating and irritating. I look forward to how the remainder of the series develops.
