A well told story with many twists and turns. Some of the scenes and scenarios are very close to current events, the author masterfully weaves them into the story and is quite plain about it. The characters are well developed and the cliffhanger at the end certainly has me wanting more. It's the end of the summer for me, kids are going back to school, this was a great end of summer read. This was a personal read for me. It seems I chose right for having K.M. Krenik as a go to author for my personal reading. She did it again, she kept me captivated and lost in another world with this one. This is a prequel in the Ranfurly Mysteries series. It's got the answers to numerous questions from book one "Danger Lies Within". You need to read Danger lies within as soon as you get done reading this one. There is still plenty of mysteries in Courtney and Lord Robert's lives. This book has lots of everything in it as well. The book is very well written, you can tell the author loves to write and be creative as well she also loves her characters.
