Praise For The Series
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow! Thrilling adventure and tribute to female veterans every where! Thank you! I knew the minute I read the synopsis I would love this book, and I was right! Candace Irving is a new author for me, and "The Garbage Man" an exciting thriller, book one of the series Hidden Valor Military Veteran /K-9, was a "First Read" for me. The main character is a female veteran, former army CID, now working in law enforcement in her hometown. Candace Irving has crafted a magnificent heroine, with a transformation character arc that many woman who have served in the military will find inspiring. I especially appreciated the sensitivity, Candace demonstrated in exploring the issues that set apart female veteran health care needs, especially PTSD, from their male counterparts. Kate Holland poignant back story was as captivating to me as the mystery she was trying to solve!..." - Amazon reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OMG! "In The Name Of " is a can't sleep, must read, best psychological thriller ever! "In The Name Of", book2 of Candace Irving's A Hidden Valor Military Veteran/K-9 Suspense is one of those psychological thrillers that haunts you long after you finish reading the final sentence. For Military Veterans and first responders the story is so believable it could have come straight from personal duty logs. The reality of the plot of this novel adds to the reader's adrenaline rush, increased heart rate and breath holding, making it impossible to un-clench your fingers from around the book or kindle. Totally, lost within the tension Candice Irving's clever words create, I had a hard time returning to reality after I finished the final chapter. For several minutes I was stuck in the desert, afraid of every sound around me , forcing myself to practice every stress management technique I knew! To completely lose track of reality like that is to me the sign of an award winning Novel. And Candace Irving deserves to receive a multitude of awards for "In the Name Of" - Amazon reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Read! One genre that I love but haven't gotten to read lately is the Military/Police Mystery genre, so I was esthetic when this opportunity materialized. I have read several of Candace Irving's previous books which were masterful in the way she portrayed the characters, storyline and gave "just enough" romance to satisfy my craving for a bit of sex and steam. In this story, the discovery of a skull that had been buried for several years sets in motion a series of additional murders, reveals a national threat, destroys a childhood friendship but also brings Kate and the patient man, Arash who has set his sights on making her his woman even if she seems to be scared and hesitant to allow it. I love the progression of Kate, Arash and Ruger's relationship and can't wait for the next book to follow along with their story so they hopefully get the HEA they all deserve. - Amazon reviewer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gritty, Gripping, and Raw. The Garbage Man is one of the best contemporary mysteries it has been my pleasure to read. There are no arbitrary rays of sunshine or mirth in this book, as the story unashamedly wraps itself in grit and grime to tell its tale. Sharing the internal strife and suffering of the protagonist's PTSD as she soldiers-up to push through to honor her fallen brothers in arms, the character of Kate Holland feels both relatable and real. Especially when it comes to her relationships with those about her, not the least of which being her dog, Ruger.... -Amazon Reviewer
